MANSFIELD - State Rep. Mark Romanchuk (R-Mansfield) presented a resolution on behalf of the Ohio House to the Mansfield Area Y in celebration of its 150th anniversary.
A press release from the Ohio House stated: "Since its establishment in 1867, this outstanding organization has had an impact on countless lives and currently serves more than 10,000 members and 500 children in their pre-school and Early Learning Center. The Y advocates for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility and provides programs for all ages. The contributions from this organization are endless within the Mansfield community."
Rep. Romanchuk presented the resolution to Cristen Gilbert, president and CEO, and James Twedt, vice president of operations, during Wednesday’s Ohio House session.
“The Y has always been a staple in the community and literally has something for everyone. With its long tradition of excellence, the Mansfield Area Y has made Richland County a better place to live and raise a family,” Romanchuk said.
