The child care teacher provides direction for the program and staff. He/she implements program curriculum in the classroom. He/She provides a quality experience to children and parents that is focused on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Implements Active Learning curriculum within the established guidelines.
2. Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans.
3. Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities always maintaining child/staff ratios and within the licensing law requirements of Ohio Job and Family Services.
4. Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
5. Conducts parent conferences (on request), maintains communication with parents, and engages parents as volunteers. Maintains confidentiality with information concerning children and families.
6. Maintains program site and equipment.
7. Maintains required program records.
8. Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
Hours of Work: 5:00pm - 11:15pm Monday-Friday
Salary: Starting at $7.70 per hour

Position Description & Responsibilities: (Job Description Attached)
Assists the Family Services Director and Fran’s Child Care Coordinator with the organization and implementation of high quality YMCA child care program during 2nd Shift at Fran’s Child Care.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Valid CDA, Associates or Bachelor’s degree or meet state licensing requirements for Administrator
2. Minimum three years in child care management and staff supervision.
3. Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention; CPR; First Aid; Communicable Disease.
4. Must be able to handle confidential personnel and financial data.
5. Completed pre-employment criminal background check, clean motor vehicles report, and drug free workplace drug screening.
6. Previous experience in classroom teaching and knowledge of child development of children ages 2 through 12.
7. Skills in working with diverse populations, social services, staff and volunteer supervision, values education, program development and fund raising. Must have good interpersonal, public relations and communication skills.
Hours of Work: 2:45pm - 11:15 pm Monday-Friday
Salary: Starting at $10.00 per hour
